Mike
Taylor took a circuitous route to Canada's west coast.
Mike was born and raised in Sheffield, England , and
spent his later formative years in Regina, Saskatchewan,
before moving to the greater Vancouver area. A gifted
bassist, guitarist, and singer-songwriter, Mike worked
and toured with colleagues from Saskatchewan, highlighted
by various festival appearances, including Sarah McLaughlin's
Lilith Fair Festival. Mike performs solo, as half of
'Acoustic Groove' with percussionist Tonehenge, and
with west coast uber-vocalist Glenda Rae. Mike brings
smooth, soulful conviction to all the music he performs
and he LOVES our Jambalya!
Percussionist/drummer
Tony Chamberlist (aka Tonehenge) has been a fixture
in the west coast music scene for over twenty years.
He has performed with roots singer-songwriters like
Jon Ochsendorf, Sam Masich, Mark James Fortin and Michael
Friedman , jazz-pop artists like Heidi McCurdy and Christine
Duncan, and more. Tony currently works with songwriting/performance
partners Miles Black and Glenda Rae, and Acoustic Groove
partner Mike Taylor . Tony is also well known for his
production work for other recording artists.
