Christina Maria

Christina Maria, started writing a-capella, at a very young
age. Entering the workforce, her first paycheque went to
a guitar. Presently she has accomplished a beautiful sounding
set, with songs that are of professional quality and compliment
each other very well. Christina Maria is currently in her
graduating year at Queen Elizabeth Secondary.
Her
main influences are Joni Mitchell, AniDifranco and Sheryl
Crow. In the summer months, Christina busks at Granville
Island in Vancouver. Lisa Rieder has been participating
in choirs and drama productions since the age of 8. She
was also in the Surrey Childrens' Choir for one year which
included a large musical theater performance at the end
of the year. Her elementary school choir at "I.C." took
part in the Chancellor Music Festival, where they won gold
two years in a row.
In
April 2002, Lisa had the starring role as, "David," in the
musical, "David and Goliath," also at Immaculate Conception
School. Lisa had a role in a Melodrama, "Tillie and the
Teller", for Footlight Theatre Co. and was in the Children's
Chorus, playing many parts in the play, "Sleeping Beauty",
Êfor The Gilbert & Sullivan Society.
Christina
Maria and Lisa Rieder are sisters who are based in Vancouver,
B.C. and have been singing together since they could. They
started to perform in May 2003 and since then they've shared
they're gift with thousands of people, at over twenty gigs
and anywhere they can. In March 2003, Terry Armitage, looking
for opportunities for musicians to play together, introduced
Christina and Lisa to Mike, Jameson, and Daniel. Christina
and Lisa either perform with or without the band, all the
while touching the audience with heartfelt harmonies and
sincere lyrics. The response from the audiences all have
been very positive.
Christina and Lisa are going into the recording studio this
January (2004), and will be releasing a full length C.D.
by the end of Febuary.
