Erik
Nielsen was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario and moved
to British Columbia at the age of two. As a young
child, Erik loved music but the first indication of
his liking for country was at the age of four when
"On the road again" became his theme song. His talent
emerged in his early teens when he taught himself
to play the guitar. It was then he started to take
his singing seriously. Erik loved to sing to whoever
would listen. While in high school he worked at an
egg barn where he would be heard singing as he walked
the rows of chicken cages. That was definetly a captive
audience.
There are many country performers that Erik admires,
but it was Garth Brooks who gave him the desire to
perform and George Strait who put country in his heart.
Erik has only been performing for the past year. Those
who have seen him know he is a rising star and has
the potential to realize his dream. He is an outgoing,
fun loving, charismatic young man whose sole desire
is to please his audience singing the music he loves.
